Orange County Christian School

Orange County Christian School opened its doors in September 1975 at the Norwalk
Church of Christ building. The school was known as Pioneer Christian School. The
goal of the parents and members of the Church of Christ was to have a Christ
centered education for their children. In the beginning the school had grades
Kindergarten through third, 30 students, two teachers and one part-time principal.
OCCS has, in their four decades of education, grown to preschool through senior
high. The school purchased its present campus in Orange County in 1991.
Ministers of the Western Avenue Church of Christ work and volunteer at the Orange
County Christian School. The Orange County Christian School leases its Chapel and
classroom space to the Western Avenue Church of Christ for their congregation and
leases a portion of its property to the Christian Action Corporation.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
